Jhet Robert Burkhart (b. March 25, 2000) is a walk-on linebacker from Buhler High School who redshirted in 2018 and did not see any game action in 2019.
He is majoring in biological systems engineering and projects as a likely scout team contributor in 2020.
A four-year letter-winner at Buhler under head coach Steve Warner, Burkhart picked up all-state honors from the Kansas Football Coaches Association (KFBCA) as a senior in 2017 after recording 116 tackles and two interceptions.
He also earned honorable mention all-state honors from The Topeka Capital-Journal and The Wichita Eagle after leading the Crusaders to three straight league championships, while they were the state runner-up in 2016 following an 11-2 season.
Burkhart ended his career with 341 tackles, the third most in school history. He played in the 2018 Kansas Shrine Bowl, and also lettered four years in baseball and two in powerlifting.
His parents, Mike and Shelbi Burkhart, also both attended Kansas State University.
