Basketball

We’re choosing to focus on the positives today regarding K-State sports....because so much lately has been negative (thanks Bruce and Co.) The positives start with the Women’s team. They are continuing a push to make the NCAA tournament, this time with a win over Iowa State. The Cats used a stifling defense to run away from the Cyclones 60-51. (Tyler Kraft, Manhattan Mercury)

The guards led the team to victory for a change, as the Cat’s usually rely heavily on their strong post play. (Greg Woods, Manhattan Mercury)

And that’s about all the positives for games played yesterday.....in non-playing sports K-State footballs social media began ramping things up prior to the start of spring football so check out those videos on twitter.

Baseball

In fortsphere news, the BatCats dropped a pitchers dual 2-1 to another in-state school, Wichita State, and drop to 3-5 on the season. (Taylor Eldridge, Wichita Eagle)

Fortsphere is in action again Friday as they open their home season with a double header against Fairleigh Dickinson beginning at 2 pm. Games can been see on ESPN+.
