TCU’s biggest advantage over Kansas State might be the presence of a proven leader in do-it-all guard Desmond Bane.

The day before Kansas State suffered an extremely frustrating home loss to Oklahoma State, Texas Tech handed TCU one of its most humbling loss in program history, beating the Horned Frogs 88-42. TCU basketball SID Steven Schoon joins the podcast this week to let us know this team won’t be taking anything for granted, and they’ve got some significant work to do to avoid Jamie Dixon’s worst season in 17 years of coaching.

However, TCU still has some quality players in Desmond Bane and Kevin Samuel, and Steven says the team’s chemistry looks much better than it did at this time last year. The Horned Frogs just need to figure out more ways to score in conference play, much like the Wildcats. Stick around to the end to hear why the long-term future looks a little brighter than the short term for both of these programs.
