Women’s Basketball

The Kansas State women’s basketball team lost a close one to No. 11 Kentucky Thursday night 60-49. An 11-0 UK run in the fourth quarter versus a Lady Cat team missing star sophomore center Ayoka Lee who hurt her ankle early in the game doomed the possibility of a big home upset for K-State. Christianna Carr had 15 and Rachel Ranke had 12 off the bench.

K-State’s next game, this Saturday versus UT-Arlington, was canceled on Thursday and replaced with a road trip to Central Arkansas. The game versus the Sugar Bears will tip at 2 p.m.

Men’s Basketball

K-State takes on winless UNLV on Saturday at 7 p.m. in the hopes of getting their second win of the season. Head coach Bruce Weber and sophomore forward Kaosi Ezeagu spoke to media members on Saturday and the folks at K-State sports transcribed it all and you can check it out here.

More schedule mix-ups are ahead for K-State due to Covid. The Wildcats December 8 game versus Milwaukee was moved forward to the 11th.

Football

K-State offensive coordinator Courtney Messingham and defensive coordinator Joe Klanderman sat down with media members on Thursday to preview Saturday’s game versus Texas. Check it out here.
