Baylor v Iowa State
If Kansas State can’t find a way to at least slow down Breece Hall, it’s going to be a long Saturday.

Kansas State’s annual matchup with Iowa State, known fondly around here as Farmageddon, appears to be somewhat in doubt with a growing number of COVID-19 cases in the Wildcat program. But that didn’t stop us from inviting Des Moines Register sports producer/reporter Danny Lawhon back on the podcast to help us understand how the Cyclones have found themselves all alone at the top of the Big 12 standings.

Of course, it starts with Breece Hall, and we discussed how Kansas State let the former Wichita Northwest product get away. Quarterback Brock Purdy and perhaps the Big 12’s best run defense will also provide some significant challenges for K-State as they play in a game with huge Big 12 title implications, but sadly, no trophy. We offered some ideas to remedy that, naturally.

Be sure to follow Danny on Twitter @DannyLawhon and check out the Des Moines Register’s comprehensive coverage of Iowa State athletics. If you’re into sports gambling news, Danny also writes as a correspondent for Gaming Today as their Midwest correspondent.
