Kenyon Reed (b. Feb. 7, 2001) is an athletic young defensive back from Long Beach Poly High School in the California city of the same name. He plans on majoring in business administration and is likely to redshirt in 2019 as part of a relatively deep secondary.

Reed played for the Jackrabbits under coach Stephen Barbee and earned all-league honors as a senior, helping Long Beach Poly to earn an 8-3 record and a trip to the state playoffs.

He played primarily on offense, catching 17 passes for 284 yards and three touchdowns.

Reed also returned eight kickoffs for a 27.8-yard average and four punts for a 17.0-yard average. He was part of the 4x100m relay team that finished fourth in the state in 2018.

Reed selected K-State over offers from Iowa State, New Mexico, Rice, Sacramento State, South Dakota and UCLA, as well as interest from California and San Diego State.

His primary recruiters were current defensive coaches Van Malone and Mike Tuiasosopo.
