In which BracketCat counts down the 18th day until the 2019 kickoff with a profile of wide receiver Eric Hommel.

Let’s end the day the way we started it: With a picture of Andre McDonald (18). K-State fans have not seen anyone wearing No. 18 catch a pass since McDonald. Eric Hommel appears to be an entirely different sort of receiver, though.

He played in the UTSA game, but did not record any statistics in the 2018 season.

His best season came as a junior in 2015, when he hauled in 67 catches for 840 yards and 11 scores en route to all-conference honors. He also set the school record for receptions.
