Jacob Martin Jenkins (b. April 22, 1999) is a defensive end from Chaparral High School. He redshirted in 2017 and had one pass breakup for the Purple team in the 2018 spring game.
Jenkins played in all 12 games in 2018, primarily on special teams, and finished second on the team with seven special teams tackles, all coming on kickoff coverage.
He had a career-high three stops against UTSA — including one defensive stop — and single tackles against South Dakota, West Virginia, Texas, Baylor and Iowa State.
Jenkins played under head coach Justin Burke at Chaparral, where he picked up first-team all-state honors as a senior from The Topeka Capital-Journal and The Wichita Eagle, while he was an honorable-mention pick as a junior.
He was named the 2016 Central Plains League Defensive MVP honor and also wrestled in high school, winning the state championship as a senior after third-place honors as a junior.
