Joseph Stephen Flax (b. Feb. 11, 1999) is a walk-on defensive end who transferred to K-State from Air Force after redshirting the 2018 season for the Falcons.

He may have to sit out an additional season following his transfer from the Academy.

Flax prepped at Thomas More Prep-Marian Junior-Senior High School in Hays, where he played for the Monarchs under head coach Jason Cauley.

He totaled 102 tackles, 14 tackles for loss and 11 sacks as a senior, and also picked off a pass and forced three fumbles.

Flax’s father, Timothy, was a two-time All-American linebacker at St. Mary of the Plains.
