Carlos Alberto Emanuel (b. Dec. 11, 1999) is a physical young walk-on defensive lineman who redshirted during the 2018 season and now looks to add depth on the defensive line.
He played for four years under head coach Matt Heuer at Hanover High School, where he totaled 215 tackles, 9.5 sacks, three forced fumbles and an interception during his career.
Emanuel picked up first-team all-state honors from The Topeka Capital-Journal and The Wichita Eagle as a senior, while he was an honorable mention pick as a junior.
The Hanover Wildcats went a collective 50-2 over his four years, with state championships in 2016 and 2017, while they also garnered runner-up finishes the two previous years.
Emanuel was selected to play in the Kansas Shrine Bowl — one of just three 8-man football players to be so invited.
