It’s Senior Night in Manhattan as we celebrate the end of the great (regular season) careers of Barry Brown, Dean Wade, and Kamau Stokes.

Oh man, what a ride it’s been.

Tonight, we celebrate the end of the collegiate careers of one of the most impressive trios in Kansas State history. And considering some of the men that have come before them to wear the purple and white, that’s pretty high praise.

Barry Brown, Dean Wade, and Kamau Stokes will be introduced for the final time at Bramlage Colisuem today, and it’s hard to put into words exactly what these three young men mean to Kansas State and the Wildcat faithful.

And while those three have reaped considerable personal accomplishments, they have at least one more team goal ahead of them: winning a Big 12 championship. With the win by Texas Tech earlier today, the Wildcats will need to beat the Oklahoma Sooners today to earn themselves a piece of the Big 12 crown. A win, and the Cats will do something that’s happened just once since 1978, and will also mark the first time that the Cats have been the 1-seed and the conference tournament in 40 years. A loss drops the Cats to the 2-seed, and means the Red Raiders win the conference outright.

Win or lose, these Wildcats have cemented themselves in K-State lore, and will be sorely missed when they are finally done with their Wildcat careers. But now is not the time to be sad, now is the time to win. Just win, baby.
