It’s been so long. So, so long. For the Kansas State Wildcats, it’s been 42 years since they’ve been able to claim a conference championship in men’s basketball without having to share it with the evil empire down the river.
They’re still having to share it, but with an entirely different party. Following their 68-53 win over Oklahoma, the Wildcats claimed a share of the Big 12 championship, sharing the honor with Texas Tech.
Sharing is sometimes overrated, but it’s nicer than not having the championship at all. How nice?
