It’s an afternoon slate, so we’ll hop right into the news of the day.
Three Wildcats were named to All-Big 12 teams. Both Kayal Goth and Peyton Williams were named to the All-Big 12 first team, while freshman Chrissy Carr was named to the All-Freshman team. Williams was also named to the All-Defensive team. (Justin Toscano, Manhattan Mercury)
Every seed except those at the very top, and bottom of the Big 12 conference bracket are known. Kansas State, Texas Tech, Oklahoma State, and West Virginia will all have to wait until after Saturday’s games to know what seed they will have for the Big 12 conference championship. (Nathan Ruiz, The Oklahoman)
The Cincinnati Bengals were among many NFL teams attending Kansas State’s pro-day, and they paid particular attention to both Dalton Risner and Alex Barnes. (Nathan Beighle, Bengals Wire via USA Today)
Duke Shelley impressed many NFL scouts during the Wildcats pro-day, as he had as many as 14 NFL scouts talking to him after the conclusion of the event. (Kellis Robinett, Wichita Eagle)
Finally, be sure to keep an eye out for Luke Thomson’s weekly Tournament Thursday story. Maybe he’ll be able to tell us why Joe Lunardi has both Kansas State and Iowa State as a 5 seed.
