NCAA Basketball: Big 12 Conference Tournament-Iowa State vs. Kansas State
Can these guys get it done in San Jose without the help of Dean Wade?

We’re just two days away from Kansas State’s NCAA tournament opener against UC Irvine, so it’s time for a podcast to learn more about the Big West champions. Fortunately, Adam Grosbard of the Orange County Register graciously took some time to join us and give us some insight into how the Anteaters won 30 games this season. This is not a team to take lightly and Adam says they haven’t forgotten what happened last year in Manhattan.

Three-time defensive player of the year Jonathan Galloway is the Anteaters’ best athlete and might make it hard for the ‘Cats to score inside, but Adam says UCI also does a nice job of forcing teams off the perimeter. Overall, though, he’s not sure Irvine can keep up with Kansas State or win the rebounding battle, so we discussed whether it would be in the Wildcats’ best interest to play a little smaller and faster against the formidable size of the Anteaters.

You can check out Adam’s work over on the Orange County Register’s website and also follow him on Twitter @adamgrosbard.
