Open Game Thread and How to Watch: Texas-Arlington at K-State WBB

An early-season battle of unbeatens at Bramlage? Huh.

Christianna Carr bounced back from a slump Wednesday. Can she keep it going?
If she’d scored one more point, Christianna Carr would be averaging 20 points a game.

It’s probably not surprising that a team which got preseason top 25 votes is unbeaten after three games. It probably is surprising that a team coming into town for a buy game is also 3-0, but here we are.

The Kansas State Wildcats hope to continue their early-season dominance this afternoon as they face the Texas-Arlington Mavericks for a 2:00 contest at Bramlage. It’s the sixth meeting all-time between the schools, and K-State has won them all. The most recent was a December 2017 tilt in Manhattan which the Cats won 70-56.

The game can be seen on Big 12 Now on ESPN+ with Brenda VanLengen (play-by-play), Missy Heidrick (analyst), and Bridget Howard (sidelines) on the call. If you haven’t signed up for ESPN+ yet (and you can do so right here), you can listen to Brian Smoller (play-by-play) and Kristin Waller (analyst) call the game on much of the K-State Sports Radio Network, and also available online via the TuneIn App and at K-StateSports.com.
