Bring on the PodCats with Bart Keeler

A friend of the podcast returns as we learn more about the high expectations of Will Grier and the Mountaineers.

NCAA Football: Youngstown State at West Virginia
Hopefully Kansas State’s defense won’t end up on this guy’s Heisman montage.

West Virginia finally ended K-State’s win streak in the series last year, and it’s going to take something special for the Wildcats to reverse that trend this Saturday in Morgantown. Even our friend Bart Keeler, an editor for The Smoking Musket who we know has plenty of respect for Bill Snyder’s wizardry, will be watching this game with plenty of confidence in the Mountaineers.

That’s especially true for the WV offense, which Bart believes could be due to really start clicking on all cylinders after an extra week off thanks to Hurricane Florence, which cancelled the Mountaineers’ game at North Carolina State last week. The key battles could be at the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball, particularly if West Virginia can find a way to consistently put pressure on young Skylar Thompson. JT and I have much more hope for the K-State offense this week, but we also understand it’s going to take quite a few points to pull off the upset.

Be sure to check out Bart’s work at The Smoking Musket, where he also appears on the West by Pod Virginia podcast from time to time. You can follow him on Twitter at @bartimusprime19.
