25 DAYS TO 2018 KICKOFF: Terrance Richards

In which BracketCat counts down the 25th day until the 2018 kickoff with a profile of fullback Terrance Richards.

#25 Rock Cartwright
Terrance Richards is the latest K-State fullback to wear No. 25, but it would be hard for him to become the most accomplished when he remains in the shadow of a legend like Rock Cartwright.

Terrance Jamal Richards (b. Dec. 15, 1997) is a walk-on running back from Aquinas Institute in Rochester, New York. He redshirted in 2015 and rushed six times for 25 yards for the White team in the 2016 spring game, but did not see playing time in either 2016 or 2017.

Richards converted to fullback prior to the 2016 season. He ran four times for 13 yards for the White team in the 2017 spring game, and rushed six times for 32 yards for White in the 2018 spring game and also caught a 1-yard pass.

Richards lettered three years for the Irish under head coach Christian Battaglia, and was an All-State star selection as he helped the team to earn two state championships and three sectional championships.

Richards, who also was a four-year letter-winner in lacrosse and ran track, is the son of Terry Richards, who played football at K-State, including his senior year under then-first-year head coach Bill Snyder in 1989.
