Parker O’Neal (b. Dec. 29, 1998) is a walk-on linebacker from Abilene High School. He is rather likely to redshirt in 2019 and probably will end up as a scout team player afterward.
O’Neal played under head coach Steve Simpson, and was an honorable mention all-state linebacker by The Topeka Capital-Journal and The Wichita Eagle as both a junior and senior.
He was the Cowboys’ leading tackler as a senior in 2016 when he made 130 stops, leading Abilene to a 7-3 record and a trip to the state playoffs.
O’Neal also played basketball, leading his team to a third-place finish in the state championship in 2017, while he was a two-time state qualifier in track and field.
He is apparently grayshirting this season and plans to major in milling science.
