Osvelt Joseph (b. Oct. 23, 1994) still is something of an enigma at the college level, but he physically looks the part of a defensive end.
Joseph played at Booker T. Washington High School in Miami under head coach Tim Harris.
He helped the Tornadoes to earn a 14-0 record as a senior in 2013 when they were named the High School National Champions by USA Today.
Joseph then redshirted during the 2014 season at Garden City Community College and did not see any action as a redshirt freshman in 2015 under head coach Jeff Sims.
Thus, he didn’t have any major Division I offers and walked on at K-State.
Joseph also did not see any game action in 2016 or 2017, but he started at defensive end for the White defense in the 2017 spring game, collecting one tackle, and then had an assisted tackle, half a sack and half a pass breakup for Purple in the 2018 spring game, so maybe this finally will be his year?
