Adam John Harter (b. Dec. 4, 1996) is a walk-on fullback who did not see any game action in 2017, but appears poised to step into Winston Dimel’s shoes as a starter after a very good spring game performance in April.
Harter started for the Purple team and rushed six times for 37 yards, a 6.2-yard average. He also caught a game-high seven passes for 60 yards, with a long of 16 yards, and a touchdown. This seems to put him in line to inherit Dimel’s mantle as a POP pass threat.
Harter played both tight end and fullback under head coach Tim Schaffner at Butler Community College, where he picked up honorable mention all-conference honors as a fullback following his 2015 redshirt freshman campaign after rushing 11 times for 38 yards.
He also had a career-best seven rushes for 31 yards against Highland Community College.
Harter lettered three years under head coach Chip Sherman at Olathe High School Northwest, where he earned all-conference accolades during all three seasons.
He helped the Ravens to complete their first winning season in school history as a senior.
Harter accumulated more than 1,000 rushing yards, 500 receiving yards, 300 passing yards and 100 tackles during his prep career. He also lettered two years in basketball.
