Who’s ready for some Thursday night football?
K-State will take on TCU at home on a Thursday next season, according to a schedule released by the football team today. The season will open Aug. 31 with a home game against Nicholls State, followed a week later with Bowling Green, also at The Bill. Then, on Sept. 14 the Wildcats will travel to Starkville in an attempt to exact revenge on the Bulldogs of Mississippi State.
Conference play will open in Stillwater, where we can only hope the Pokes will still be in as much disarray as they are this season. The K-State will camp out in Manhattan for all of October, with Baylor, the aforementioned Thursday night Frog Party, and an Oct. 26 date with the Sooners.
A short road trip to Lawrence opens November, followed by a jog to Austin to try to reestablish dominance over the Longhorns. Then the Cats will return home to welcome West Virginia before traveling through the vortex to Lubbock Nov. 23, and rounding out the regular season Nov. 30 with Farmageddon in Manhattan.
