Women’s Basketball

It was a tough fought game last night, but unfortunately our lady ‘Cats came up short against TCU losing 68-63. (Staff Reports, Capital Journal)

Freshman guard Rachel Ranke led the way for Wildcats with 17 points, going 6-14 from the floor and hitting four critical 3 pointers. (Greg Woods, The Manhattan Mercury)

The Frogs’ press defense flustered the offense for most of the night, forcing Kansas State to try to come back from a 58-47 third quarter deficit in the fourth. It almost happened too, but a late turnover on an inbound pass with the Cats down 65-63 snuffed out the comeback attempt. (Nathan Enserro, The Collegian)

Football

Gracey, and JT covered this yesterday on the homepage, and in the slate respectively, but we’re re-heating it for you today. Andre Coleman was named Kansas State’s newest offensive coordinator. (Bryan Fischer, NBC Sports)

Our friends over at Heartland College Sports had the opportunity to catch up with D.J. Reed as he prepares for the upcoming NFL Draft. (Pete Mundo, Heartland College Sports)

Basketball

It’s one of the most polarizing topics for Kansas State fans. And it’s resurfaced once again this season. The Kansas State Student Governing Association emailed students Monday evening requesting/pleading with students to please stop with the “F**k KU” chants. We’ll wait and see how much effect the email has on Monday night. (Jarrett Whitson, The Collegian)
