With the departure of Dana Dimel, the Offensive Coordinator position remained open for the right candidate. Looking no further than our current coaching staff to fill the vacancy, K-State Football announced the in-house promotions this morning:

Since JT did a great job giving you a sneak preview on possible scenarios for the OC hiring process, looks like K-State agreed with promoting from within our stellar offensive coaching department. Not only was Andre Coleman named as Offensive Coordinator, some familiar names are joining him with promotions as well.
Collin Klein will be Co-OC with the passing game, something that Klein knows plenty about as a coach and player. Klein’s expertise and knowledge helped through this past season with so many changes at quarterback. As a 2012 Heisman finalist, Klein certainly brings experience and talent to the table as the Co-OC for 2018.
Charlie Dickey will also be Co-OC and oversee the running game, which will be different than his former position as offensive line coach. Dickey is no stranger to coaching, with over 30 years of experience to his name. One current player that comes to mind that was a student of Dickey’s methods is B.J. Finney.
Congratulations to all involved and we look forward to seeing the team thrive under this talented coaching staff!
