Kendall Adams has a 30-yard pick-six and a 48-yard fumble return for another touchdown, and K-State is running the ball all over Charlotte in a 38-7 halftime rout.

Alex Barnes is back in gear, running for 102 yards on 16 carries in the half, while Jesse Ertz has added 64 on 9 while going 11-13 for 102 yards in the air. Barnes, Ertz, and Winston Dimel have all scored on the ground; Ertz hasn’t thrown a touchdown pass yet.

Charlotte’s lone score was set up by an 80-yard kickoff return, a blemish on what’s otherwise been an excellent kick coverage game for the Wildcats.

And K-State still has yet to punt this season.

Dalton Risner left the field early with an injury. Byron Pringle and Duke Shelley have been invisible.

On to the second half!
