K-State safety Kendall Adams received the Big 12 Conference Defensive Player of the Week honor today for his performance against Charlotte on Saturday. Joining him in the weekly awards were Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield (offense), West Virginia quarterback Will Grier (newcomer), and Oklahoma State kicker Matt Ammendola (special teams).

The junior from Fort Worth singlehandedly outscored Charlotte with two defensive touchdowns: a 30-yard interception return and a 46-yard fumble return. He also had five tackles against the 49ers.
