Richards converted to fullback prior to the 2016 season, but did not see any game action last season. He ran four times for 13 yards for White in this year’s spring game.
Richards lettered three years for the Irish under head coach Christian Battaglia, and was an All-State star selection as he helped the team to earn two state championships and three sectional championships.
Richards, who also was a four-year letter-winner in lacrosse and ran track, is the son of Terry Richards, who played football at K-State, including his senior year under then-first-year head coach Bill Snyder in 1989.
