Daron H. Bowles (b. March 30, 1997) is a walk-on JUCO defensive back from Diablo Valley College who was a high school teammate of K-State wide receiver Isaiah Zuber.
He played under head coach Ron Gartrell for Stephenson High School, where he helped to lead the Jaguars to an 8-4 record and an appearance in the state playoffs.
Bowles, who later transferred to Stone Mountain High School, picked up first-team all-region and all-county honors as an all-purpose player, and totaled 82 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, four interceptions and 13 pass breakups during his career.
He later played two seasons for Diablo Valley under head coach Mike Darr, totaling 55 tackles, six tackles for loss, a sack, three passes defended and an interception during his sophomore campaign with the Vikings.
Bowles registered a career-high 10 tackles against De Anza, a game in which he had 1.5 tackles for loss and a pass breakup.
He also had 1.5 tackles for loss against Contra Costa, carded eight tackles at Sacramento City and recorded his interception against Feather River, against which he also picked up a season-high seven tackles during his first game as a freshman.
Bowles’ father, Daryl, played running back at Arkansas under legendary head coach Lou Holtz from 1979 to 1982 and led the Razorbacks in rushing as a senior.
