Gervarrius Owens (b. Oct. 14, 1998) is a defensive back from Southmoore High School in Oklahoma who redshirted in 2016. I still am unsure whether he is on scholarship.
Owens played under head coach Jeremy Stark at Southmoore, where he was rated the No. 86 safety nationally in the Class of 2017 by Scout and the 14th-best player overall in the state of Oklahoma by Rivals. He was selected to play in the Oklahoma Coaches Association All-State football game and named to The Oklahoman’s all-state team as a senior.
Owens tallied 210 tackles, 23 tackles for loss, nine sacks and two interceptions in his career, including in his senior campaign, when he had 88 stops, seven tackles for loss and three sacks for the Sabercats. He also totaled 60 career receptions for 1,277 yards and 16 touchdowns.
