37 DAYS TO 2017 KICKOFF: Tyler White

In which BracketCat counts down the 37th day until the 2017 kickoff with a profile of linebacker Tyler White.

#37 Braden Wilson
Yes, Braden Wilson (37) was a fullback, not a linebacker, but you trying to find another picture of a K-State player wearing No. 37 in our photo database. Besides, I seem to remember the coaches experimenting with Wilson as a linebacker/defensive end hybrid once or twice.

Tyler Scott White (b. July 18, 1995) is a walk-on linebacker who lettered three years at three different high schools, including his senior year at Central Gwinnett High School under head coach Todd Wofford. He also played at Lakewood Ranch High School.

White redshirted in 2014 and did not see any game action in 2015 or 2016 as a member of the scout team. He played for the White team in the 2017 spring game, but collected no statistics.

Still, linebacker depth is a little sketchy this season, so White ekes into the last spot on my projected depth chart as a third-stringer.

He earned all-county honors as a senior after totaling 51 tackles, 12 tackles for loss and two forced fumbles in six games. He also lettered in baseball.

White’s father, Scott, was a three-year letter-winner at linebacker for Kansas State in 1983, 1985 and 1986.
