Dalton Luke Harman (b. April 11, 1996) is a preferred walk-on long snapper who enrolled early and participated in spring practices in 2014. He redshirted that season, and did not see any game action in either 2015 or 2016.
Judging by his lack of an appearance in the 2016 or 2017 spring games, I project Harman will remain third on the depth chart this season, behind Drew Scott and David Tullis, despite Harman being listed as Scott’s backup all of last season. (But I have it on good authority that it was Tullis who actually traveled with the team in that capacity.)
A three-year letter-winner at Salina High School South under head coach Sam Sellers, Harman played linebacker and was the team’s long snapper as he helped the Cougars to earn a combined 25-11 record over three years.
Harman also was named an All-American long snapper by Kohl’s Kicking.
