Andrew Patrick Scott (b. March 12, 1995) is a former walk-on long snapper who has played in 18 career games, including every contest his junior year. He should take hold of primary snapping duties again in 2017 after graduating in May with a degree in entrepreneurship.
After redshirting in 2013, Scott appeared in four games in 2014, serving as the primary long snapper for a majority of the first three contests. He also snapped against West Virginia in 2014 and against South Dakota in 2015.
After the setbacks of 2015, Scott connected on all 127 snaps during the course of the 13-game 2016 season. He also tallied his first career tackle on punt coverage at TCU and earned second-team Academic All-Big 12 honors.
Scott prepped under head coach Duane Schulte at Xavier High School in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where he successfully connected on 67 of 67 snaps during the course of his junior and senior seasons. He received a five-star rating at Kohl's Longsnapping Camp prior to his senior year.
Scott helped the Saints to a 14-1 record and a Class 4A runner-up finish in 2012. He also played basketball for two years and baseball for four.
