David James Tullis (b. Jan. 19, 1996) is a preferred walk-on long snapper who redshirted in 2016 after two years at a junior college. He snapped for White in the last two spring games over Dalton Harman, suggesting that he eventually might back up Drew Scott.

Tullis lettered two years at Derby High School under head coach Brandon Clark, who himself lettered three years at K-State (1998, 2000, 2001). He helped the Panthers to earn a 12-1 record and a state championship as a senior.

Tullis earned second-team all-league and honorable mention all-state honors at safety, a position he also played at the JUCO level. He also played baseball, helping Derby to place fourth in the state championship in 2013.

Tullis then played two seasons at Butler Community College under head coaches Troy Morrell and Tim Schaffner. He helped the Grizzlies to earn a combined 17-5 record in 2014 and 2015, including a 9-2 mark and a conference championship as a sophomore.

Tullis continued a JUCO pipeline that includes such recent contributors as Dylan Schellenberg, Chaquil Reed, Reed Bergstrom, Luke Hayes and Byron Pringle.
