Evan William Curl (b. March 20, 1997) is a talented young offensive lineman who used a redshirt season in 2015 and played in one game against Florida Atlantic in 2016. He will compete for playing time along the offensive line as a sophomore.
Curl played sparingly for the White team in the 2016 spring game and started for White in the 2017 spring game. I’m projecting him as the third-string right guard.
Curl lettered two years under head coach Dane Johnson for Flower Mound High School, where he predominantly played left tackle for the Jaguars.
A second-team All-District 6-6A performer as both a junior and senior, Curl earned second-team academic all-state honors and was a team captain as a senior in 2014. He also wrestled, finishing third in district play in the heavyweight division.
Curl is an Eagle Scout who will major in mechanical engineering and picked K-State over offers from Cal, North Texas, and Oklahoma State.
