If you went on Facebook or Twitter today, there is a good chance you already know it is K-State football great Darren Sproles’ 34th birthday: teams, fans, and the NFL itself kept busy posting highlight reels of the star.
The NFL alone posted a series of highlight clips, including Sproles’ first two professional touchdowns — a kickoff and punt return, in the same game!

The NFL also shared this highlight from last season, in which Sproles first makes a great adjustment to get open, then makes some fantastic moves on defenders.

Unfortunately, we have to give credit to his current team, the Philadelphia Eagles, for posting today’s greatest Sproles highlights — from his Pop Warner days in Olathe!

Still not enough Sproles highlights for you? Well, the 2003 Big 12 Championship game — essentially a long Sproles highlight itself — is on YouTube in its entirety.
Sproles, a three-time Pro Bowler, hold the NFL record for single-season all-purpose yards (2,696 in 2011) and is eighth in career all-purpose yards (19,011), just 169 behind Steve Smith and 179 behind Marshall Faulk. With one more good season, he could even pass Tim Brown, currently in fifth place with 19,682 yards.
