Oregon and South Carolina try to reach the Final Four, and this is not a repeat

Lost in the magic and excitement of Frank Martin leading South Carolina to the Final Four and Kentucky and North Carolina playing a game for the ages, a couple of other teams booked tickets to the national semifinals yesterday. Those would be the ladies from Mississippi State and Stanford, a pair of second-seeded teams knocking off top-seeded opponents. In other words, bye-bye, Notre Dame and Baylor. Get outta here.

Tonight, the final pair of games before the main event. The early game is probably a foregone conclusion. Oregon will be trying to join their male counterparts in the Final Four, but their task is complicated by the buzzsaw that is UConn. In the late game, South Carolina will be trying to accomplish the same feat, and only Leti Romero and the Florida State Seminoles stand in the way.

Here’s the details, for those of you so inclined. Enjoy!
