March Madness 2017: Saturday Games Early Live Thread

The early flight ends with the Wildcat women in action at Bramlage.

There’s little doubt as to how today’s first game will unfold.

We know last night was hard. It was so devastatingly awful that we all shut down. But there’s more basketball today, and K-State still has a team playing meaningful NCAA Tournament games, so we soldier on.

Unlike yesterday, where K-State was part of the opening flight of the late games, the Wildcats close out the early section today. So we will have a separate game thread for the women as they take on Drake. Here’s your early thread for everything else.

The men’s schedule is light early, with only two games before the dinner hour. West Virginia starts the day, fighting for all that is good and wonderful; that’s followed by Villanova, also fighting for the same basic credo.

The women’s schedule is more normal this morning. The day starts with an inevitable UConn victory, followed by our friends from Ames trying to pop a very mild 8-9 upset over Syracuse. And then, our main event of the day will tip at about 2:30.
