We know we’re inundating you with information this fine Friday, but this is obviously very important. After all, it wouldn’t be good for you to be confused and end up watching some other Kansas school play basketball this evening.
The Game: The 11th-seeded K-State (21-13, 8-10 Big 12) will face Cincinnati (29-5, 16-2 AAC) tonight in the official First Round of the South Regional of the 2017 NCAA Tournament. All the gory details of the series between the teams can be found in an article your benevolent despot will be dropping this afternoon; the short version is that Cincinnati has a galling 6-1 advantage in the all-time series, including a 2-1 record in the post-season.
Where: Golden 1 Center, Sacramento, Calif. (17,608).
When: 6:27pm CT
Odds: Cincinnati is a 3.5-point favorite, with the line at 130.5, meaning Vegas is looking at a 67-63 or 67-64 final.
TV: Spiro Dedes, Len Elmore, Steve Smith, and Ros Gold-Onwude will have the call on TruTV. That’s 246 on DirecTV, 148 or 242 on Dish, 683 on Verizon, 1164/1165 on UVerse, and if you’re in Manhattan on Cox it looks like you’re stuck with glorious standard definition on channel 64.
Radio: Wyatt Thompson and Stan Weber will call the game on K-State Sports Network Affiliates and on a free audio stream at kstatehd.tv. If you don’t have one of those, you can hope to find a Westwood One affiliate carrying our game; Jason Benetti and Mike Montgomery will call the action. That Westwood One feed is also what’s being carried on satellite, Sirius 145/XM 206.
Streaming: The NCAA March Madness app, available on multiple platforms including iOS, Android, Roku, and Windows 10. Note that access to live game action on the app requires a cable or satellite subscription, and you will have to log in to activate!
