Football

Kansas State has never played a bowl game in Florida, and despite a strong push late in the season to finish at 7-5 it appears unlikely they’ll make it to Florida this season. The most likely destinations appear to be the Cactus bowl, or the Heart of Dallas bowl. (Kevin Lyttle, American-Statesman)

That means John Currie is still looking for his next football coach, and with public disaster the coaching search has become most Kansas State fans are sharing a collective sigh of relief that he’s doing it at some other school. (Kevin Haskin, Capital Journal)

Even worse for John Currie than the PR nightmare he put himself in, is the angst Tennessee fans feel toward him. It’s so bad that a “Fire Currie” chant broke out at a WWE Raw match in Knoxville on Monday. (Pete Grathoff, KC Star)
