TRASH TALK: Oklahoma State

Pistol Pete is seriously creepy.

Mike Gundy must be terribly afraid of K-State despite being 21-point favorites in Vegas if, as some commentators have suggested, the Leavitt/Snyder controversy this week is a hoax perpetuated by the Pokes to distract the Wildcats from today’s game.

Oklahoma State’s noisemaker paddles are a bad “tradition.” There, I said it. If your fans need artificial noisemakers to enhance the game day atmosphere, you have bad atmosphere.

I’M A MAN! I’M 33! And while Gundy might have had the right motivation — to deflect criticism from a young man — he could have done so without making himself into a punchline. And it made the quarterback in question feel like a punchline, too.

Willie the Wildcat catches a lot of flack from people who consider him creepy. But have any of those people actually looked at Pistol Pete?

This is the face of a mascot that has chopped up bodies and buried his victims in several spots in the wooded draw on a section he owns out in the county.
