Kansas State-TCU kickoff delayed due to lightning

Due to NCAA regulations regarding the proximity of lightning strikes to outdoor venues, the scheduled 11am kickoff of today’s game between K-State and the TCU Horned Frogs has been pushed back 45 minutes, to 11:45am CT.

We’ll update with more details if this situation changes.

UPDATE, 11:40am: There has been another lightning strike, so kickoff has now been delayed until at least 12:10pm.

UPDATE, 12:20pm: Just as the clock was about to expire, there was another lightning strike. We’re now looking at 1:00 if there are no further issues.

UPDATE, 1:20pm: We’re on! The skies have finally cleared enough to set a new kickoff time, and they’re aiming for 2pm CT.
