Late Friday: Open Thread

Clemson tries to hold off a feisty Syracuse team, and the Dread Pirate Leach takes his 8th ranked Cougars to California to face off against the Golden Bears.

We’re a little late getting tonight’s open thread up, so Clemson and Syracuse are already going strong with Syracuse leading early in the third quarter 17-14. Clemson will have to mount a comeback without their starting QB, as Kelly Bryant had to be helped off the field after suffering a concussion near the end of the first half.

In the second half of tonight’s double-header, our favorite pirate, Mike Leach will take his 8th ranked Cougars of Washington State south to face off against the California Golden Bears. Mike Leach appears to have found a defense, and if they continue to play well there’s a decent chance the Cougar’s pirate ship could make it’s way into the College Football Playoffs.

It’s Friday night, and it’s Friday the 13th so let’s get weird, college football!
