As no surprise to Kansas State fans, Walker earned a spot on this team with an impressive season featuring 11.5 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks. This award has been around since 2001 and Kansas State fans have seen freshman like Ty Zimmerman and Matthew McCrane earn it as well. On top of being named Freshman All-American by FWAA, Walker earned First Team Freshman All-American from Campus Insiders. Walker took home Big 12 Defensive Freshman of the Year from the coaches AND ESPN.com.
We look forward to seeing Walker continue to thrive as a Kansas State Wildcat and congratulations to Reggie and his family!
