Bring on the PodCats with Jordan Esco

Our OU friend from The Football Brainiacs returns just in time to help us transition to conference basketball season.

The Football Brainiacs contributor Jordan Esco joins Eric Rubottom and I this week with the Sooners basketball team traveling to Bramlage this Saturday. Of course, we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to rehash K-State and OU’s bowl wins, look ahead to next fall and, oh yeah, spend a few minutes assessing the ongoing Joe Mixon drama.

If you’re just here for the basketball, skip ahead to about the 14:45 mark, because we’ve definitely got you covered. Needless to say, Jordan isn’t encouraged by OU’s 5-game losing streak and he’s not especially optimistic about Saturday, particularly if Jordan Woodard doesn’t come back from his mysterious absence.

Along with some analysis of the Sooners, Eric and I dove fairly deep into what we saw Wednesday night in Lawrence, as well as why K-State looks like a tournament team, for now. Several individual pieces deserve credit, but most of all balance and the ability to play together could make this group special.

Don’t forget to read Jordan’s work at The Football Brainiacs and follow him on Twitter at @Jordan_Esco.
