Bring on the PodCats with Troy Provost-Heron

The Tennessee beat writer from The Daily Times tells us why K-State can’t overlook the young, inconsistent Vols

Two years ago, Kansas State’s late rally fell just short in a 65-64 loss at Tennessee. But this season’s game in Knoxville might not bear many similarities to that one, since both the Vols and the ‘Cats have almost entirely new rosters.

The Daily Times beat writer Troy Provost-Heron joins BotC basketball expert Eric Rubottom and I to discuss the unpredictability of a young, athletic Tennessee team that has challenged but not quite beaten some of the country’s top teams. Our old friend Rick Barnes always has his team ready to play, and they’ve got plenty of depth to challenge a suddenly surging Kansas State.

We also discussed Tennessee’s coaching carousel and the similarities it bears to Manhattan, including why many Vols fans still miss Bruce Pearl like ‘Cats fans miss Frank Martin.
