Sunflower Showdown. ‘Nuff said.
The game
Kansas State (16-5, 5-3 Big 12) hosts the Kansas Jayhawks (17-4, 6-2 Big 12). It’s the battle for first place in the Big 12 as the most hated rivals come to town for Big Monday. A Jayhawk win almost certainly gives the great evil a massive upper hand in a billionth straight championship. A Wildcat win would technically put K-State in undisputed possession of the first seed at least until tomorrow’s games, as they’d have the tiebreaker over Kansas until we see who else (if anyone) joins the scrum at 6-3 tomorrow.
We don’t need to talk about the series. Damn you, Asbury and Wooldridge.
Odds
The Jayhawks are a 2-point favorite, with the over at 146½. Thus, our friends in Vegas predict a 74-72ish result. OddsShark has returned to the side of the good guys, however, projecting a 71-65 Wildcat Victory.
