Kansas State at Washington State: Open Game Thread

Just remember, you stayed up late on a weeknight for this...

NCAA Basketball: NCAA Tournament-First Round-Kansas State vs Cincinnati
Black as night....
Kelley L Cox-USA TODAY Sports

Welcome to #Pac12AfterDark basketball edition. Or something close to it anyway. It’s only 8 p.m. in Spokane, WA, but its going to start after bedtime in God’s Own Time Zone. Hopefully coach Bruce Weber lets the guys stay up past bedtime tonight.

After a lackluster showing in their last trip away from Bramlage, the Kansas State Wildcats returned home and put SE Missouri State to bed with a 89-71 loss. But that away performance is more concerning to the game tonight. The Wildcats are only 1-2 away from Bramlage this season, though one of those losses is to a team that is currently sitting in the top 5 of both polls.

The Washington State Cougars are 7-3 on the season and will be more on the par of the Tulsa team that the Wildcats lost to in Wichita. Hopefully the Cats shoot better than they did at Intrust Bank Arena. That is, if they don’t fall asleep before it’s over (like most of us watching in the Great Plains and points east will be struggling mightily to do).

Tonight’s game, scheduled for a 10 p.m. CST tip-off, will be on ESPN2 and ESPN3 with Eric Rothman (play-by-play) and Caron Butler (analyst) on the call. Be sure and check out Jon Morse’s full How To Watch post for more details.

The game can be heard over-the-air on the K-State Sports Network with Wyatt Thompson (play-by-play) and Stan Weber (analyst) making the trip west to be on the call (you can also listen online for free at TuneIn.com or at KStateSports.com). Satellite radio is available tonight on Sirius/XM 84, and “Internet” 84, though it will be the Washington State broadcast.
