Some of the guys have had rough years so far.

Some of our future guys are having stellar seasons. A few are on teams struggling so far in 2016. But it’s week three around these parts, so it’s time to take your third look around the country to see how all the current Wildcat commits are doing. We’ll also include our newest commit, defensive back Elijah Walker, even though he is a junior college transfer and this is a “prep” update.

We will do our best to keep these as updated as possible, but not every school or area gets covered the same way. And not every local paper, school, or service even puts stats online (what do they think it is, 1996? Geez)

Ben Adler, OL, Trinity Academy, Wichita, KS -- Trinity Academy got back to the right side of .500 with a 42-20 win last Friday night. The Knights rushed for 208 yards and 5 TD’s in the victory. Adler was also named the KAKE News Student Athlete of the Week.

Harrison Creed, OL, Ulysses, Ulysses, KS -- The Tigers continued to stumble, at least this time it was to 3A state title favorite Holcomb, but could only generate 105 yards of offense in the shutout.

Wyatt Hubert, DE, Shawnee Heights, Tecumseh, KS -- Shawnee Heights took another walloping Friday night, losing to Washburn Rural 31-7. Hubert did notch eight tackles, and a team high five for-loss, in the effort.

Aidan Mills, OL/DL, Newton, Newton, KS -- Newton continues to struggle through the 2016 season, falling to Goddard-Eisenhower 40-27. The Railers did put up 234 yards and two TD’s on the ground.

Josh Rivas, OL, Hutchinson, Hutchinson, KS -- Hutchinson continued its roll through 2016 with a 33-14 win over Salina Central on Friday. The Salthawks rushed for 400 yards and five TDs in the victory. The big test will come this Friday, as Hutch travels to face fellow undefeated (and 6A #1) Derby.

Sammy Wheeler, QB, St. James Academy, Lenexa, KS -- The Thunder fell back under .500 after a 24-14 loss to Gardner-Edgerton on Friday. Wheeler 16-24-0 for 208 yards and 2 TDs in the contest.

Joshua Brown, DB, Langston Hughes, Fairburn, GA -- After suffering their first loss of 2016, Langston Hughes came back with a dominating 50-0 effort last Friday night. Brown was credited with one solo tackle and two assisted tackles.

Eli Huggins, DT, West Forsyth, Cumming, GA -- West Forsyth notched their third victory of the season with a 31-14 road victory.

Drew Wiley, DT, Vinton-Shellsburg, Vinton, IA -- V-S fell again last Friday, to the tune of 31-13, falling to 1-3 on the season.

Bill Kuduk, OL, Marist, Chicago, IL -- Marist won their Friday night matchup in dominating fashing, improving to 3-1 with a 45-0 victory.

Anthony Payne, DE, Raymore-Peculiar, Peculiar, MO -- Ray-Pec released some frustrations on Friday, Homecoming night for the Panthers, as they knocked around St. Joseph Central 40-7.

Dewayne Betts, QB, KIPP Academy, Memphis, TN -- KIPP Academy was idle last week.

Bernard Goodwater, RB, Carter, Dallas, TX -- Goodwater led his Carter squad in both rushing and receiving last Saturday, and scored a touchdown both ways as well, but the effort wasn’t good enough as the Cowboys were handed their first loss of the season 65-33.

Elijah Walker, DB, Cerritos College, Norwalk, CA — Cerritos is 1-2 so far in 2016, winning their last game 21-17 over Palomar College. Walker has 24 tackles in the three games this season.
