Florida Atlantic at Kansas State: Open Game Thread

New, comments

Today is the day we get mad about not doing everything perfectly.

He’s not in charge anymore, but this FAU coach was once the greatest coach in Oklahoma Sooners history.

We’re approaching game time at the Bill, and there’s really not a lot to be worried about today. The Wildcats may not rout the Owls, but the odds of actually losing this game seem pretty slim.

Still, there are a lot of things we need to keep our eyes on today, many of which we’ll directly revisit after the final gun.

1) Can Jesse Ertz improve on what was inarguably a poor accuracy level against Stanford?

2) Can K-State get its ground game moving, and in the process perhaps aid in a successful result for item 1?

3) What will the Wildcat defense look like in the absence of any one singular offensive talent with whom they must focus?

4) How basic will the play-calling be? Will K-State simply hope to out-athlete Florida Atlantic?

5) What impact will another two weeks of practice have on the offensive line?

Of course, that’s just off the top of our heads here. There are certainly other questions which will both arise and be answered over the course of sixty minutes of football. But those are the pressing concerns we’re dealing with as kickoff approaches.
