I don’t know if you’ve heard, but K-State has a bye week this week. Sucks, right? So of course your K-State content is limited this Saturday morning, but we will do our best to keep on keepin on. Jon starts us off this morning with your Week 2 TV/Streaming schedule, so you can find some football to keep you going until next week.
Over at the Wichita Eagle, Kellis Robinett has K-State Q&A up where-in one of our writers gets a question answered, and EcoKat makes a very unsettling appearance. Then over at the Kansas City Star (it’s like they’re owned by the same company or something...crazy, I know), Kellis talks about the Tweet that sent the K-State universe spinning.
K-State Volleyball recorded program win 800, and Coach Suzie Fritz’s 300th, in a 3-1 victory over Mississippi State in game one of the Wildcat Classic, and then quickly moved over the century mark with a 3-0 win over the Miami Hurricanes later in the evening. The VolleyCats move to 6-2 on the season with the two victories, and will play Loyola later today in Ahearn Fieldhouse in their final game of the Wildcat Classic.
K-State Women’s Soccer played aggressively, but could not manage to turn anything in to goals, as the Wildcats fell to Central Arkansas 0-1 on Friday. The Cats, who fell to 2-3-2 in their inaugural season, will conclude its eight game season-opening road trip with a tilt against Arkansas-Little Rock at 1pm on Sunday.
Enjoy your last free weekend for a while, and sit back and enjoy some college football that wont give you a heart attack!
