Micheal Clemons has received an offer from Kansas State University. The offer from K-State came during a busy week for Clemons with Utah state and Ole Miss sending out offers as well.
There is plenty of buzz around the 6’7, 240 lbs defensive end playing at Cisco College, but how did he end up there? Clemons has a lot to prove with missing his senior season at Sachse High School and leaving his recruiting process up in the air. As a freshman redshirt at Cisco, Clemons started getting looks after showing up to spring football as an aggressive force to be reckoned with. The schools that showed interest from the beginning included SMU, Abilene Christian, and UMass to name a few. The interest over this seemingly unknown defensive end has continued to grow with offers in from Middle Tennessee State and UCF starting it all up
With a 4.53 40-yard dash time, the big bodied defensive end and outside linebacker clearly has an edge on the competition with speed. The versatility he shows by also being able to play outside linebacker isn’t missed on big programs showing interest in him like Texas Tech, Minnesota, Missouri, and Oklahoma. The biggest name that is keeping an eye on Clemons as he enters the 2016 season? The most recent CFB Playoff Champions...The Alabama Crimson Tide.
The buzz around this talented young man grows with each day that inches closer and closer to the beginning of the season. While Kansas State has offered Clemons, there are plenty of powerhouse teams competing for his commitment. The edge that Clemons would bring to a team is yet to be proven in competition, yet there is clearly something that coaches all over the country see in him. If Clemons is going to come to a school in the Big 12, Coach Bill Snyder is the undisputed king of JUCO transfers in this conference. Kansas State offers a bright future and great place to get immediate play time with a family atmosphere and plenty of support from teammates and staff alike. Looking forward to watching Micheal Clemons play this fall and hopefully land in Manhattan as part of the Wildcat #Family at Kansas State.
